The Website Got a Rework — Here’s What’s New
The site has been getting a lot of love behind the scenes these past weeks, and enough of it has now shipped that it deserves a proper changelog.
Here’s what’s new on nomoregreens.com.
A Fresh Coat of Purple Paint
The front page already had its new look. Now the rest of the site has caught up.
The About, News, Gallery, Livestreams, and individual post pages have all been rebuilt in the same dark, combat-log-inspired style, with cleaner layouts and bigger, more readable text throughout.
Some highlights:
- A proper lightbox
Clicking a screenshot in the Gallery or in a post now opens it directly on the page in full size. No more getting thrown into a random new tab. Arrow keys work, and Escape closes it. - News pagination actually works now
Clicking “page 2” used to send you somewhere it definitely should not. It now does what it says. - The old-theme leftovers have been cleaned up
The Links dropdown, comments, buttons, forms, and a bunch of smaller elements have been restyled so the site feels consistent everywhere. - New page headers
Several pages now feature proper branded headers, including the wordmark and a certain orc you may recognize on the Apply page.
Live Guild Data From Raider.IO
The site now syncs our guild data from Raider.IO automatically.
That means the progression numbers you see on the site come from actual raid data, without an officer needing to manually update things after every kill night. As we clear bosses, the site keeps up on its own.
Less admin work. More killing bosses.
A Proper Progression Page
Raid progress now has its own dedicated page instead of being tucked away somewhere in the background.
The new Progression page shows the current tier in a much cleaner way, including boss kills, Cutting Edge status, rankings, and live Raider.IO data that updates automatically.
It gives visitors, applicants, and returning raiders a better view of where we stand without anyone needing to manually rewrite the page every raid night.
A Real Application System
Recruitment got the biggest upgrade of all.
The old setup has been replaced with a proper application system built into the site.
You can now apply through the new Apply page:
Instead of a basic form, applicants now get a proper recruitment page in the site’s style, with fields for character information, raid availability, logs, guild history, UI/addon setup, and a bit about themselves.
Even better: paste an Armory, Raider.IO, or WarcraftLogs link, and the form can auto-fill character details like class, spec, item level, and Mythic+ score.
Less typing. Fewer typos. Better applications.
Officers can also review applications directly on the site, with clear statuses such as:
New → Reviewing → Accepted / Rejected
So applications no longer disappear into DMs, Discord scrollback, or “I thought someone else was handling it.”
Native Discord Notifications
Applications now go straight to Discord without relying on an old third-party plugin.
When someone applies, the officers get pinged instantly with a clean Discord embed showing the applicant’s class, spec, item level, useful links, and a direct button to the review page.
Status changes can post automatically too. When someone gets accepted, a welcome message can go out to the public channel so everyone can say hi.
It is cleaner, faster, and much easier to follow than the old setup.
Under the Hood
Some of the most important work is the stuff you hopefully never notice.
The admin side of the site has had a serious cleanup and modernization pass. Dead plugins were removed, old bits were cleaned up, and sensitive configuration was moved out of places where it should not have been.
Boring? Maybe.
Important? Definitely.
It puts the site in a much healthier place for the next tier, the next expansion, and whatever questionable ideas we decide to build into it next.
Coming Up
There is still more planned.
On the list:
- A fuller guild history on the About page, going all the way back to Ripple
- A “Hall of Memory” for everyone who has raided with us
- Proper embedded Twitch streams on the Livestreams page
Those are not all live yet, but they are on the radar.
No More Greens. Only Epic.
The site is cleaner, faster, more useful, and much more ours than it was a few weeks ago.
